We were once again privileged to spend time with the wonderful church family at the Pentecostals of West Houston. Truly a friend to evangelists, and a dear friend to us, Pastor Scott Lewis is one of the finest pastors in our movement. He is leading this exciting church into the prophetic future God has destined for them. We love the Lewis family and enjoyed spending time with them again.
Our first Sunday, the Lord moved in a powerful way. Sunday evening, the altar service lasted well after 10pm. The Lord spoke specifically to the church body. As many lingered in the presence of God, several were baptized in the name of Jesus. What a wonderful and refreshing evening!
Tuesday, we taught a seminar for the altar working team. In preparation for Easter Sunday, we discussed the importance of personalizing each guest as soon as they came in the door, knowing that establishing a presence in their life would allow us to minister to them in the altar. The presence of the Lord moved during this seminar and the team responded. One person, who had been away from God for some time, was refilled with the Holy Ghost at the conclusion of the seminar.
Wednesday and Thursday, we preached evangelism concepts. Again, stressing the importance of Personalization, Lifestyle Evangelism and Prophetic Evangelism. Our good friends, Kelly and Barbara Caywood were in service with us Thursday evening, along with their niece and nephew. Their niece was so moved by the presence of the Lord, she called her mother and received permission to be baptized in Jesus' name. What a wonderful time for us to be able to share with our friends! Several more were baptized that evening including a father and son. Many were filled with the Holy Ghost!
Friday night and Saturday, we canvassed the city. Focusing on neighborhoods and apartments where POWH had an established presence. We received very positive feedback from the contacts that were made. They were excited about being a part of this great weekend!
Saturday afternoon, POWH hosted a fun festival, complete with free food, bounce houses, face painting, giveaways, clowns, balloons and a huge Easter egg hunt. Despite the threat of rain, the parking lot quickly filled with over 300 guests from across the city. We watched in amazement as families we had just spoken with at a local store came straight from the store to the festival!
Easter Sunday morning arrived with the threat of severe storms. Thankfully, the rain held off and the Lord honored our efforts. The children had a special service in the sanctuary with Bro. Lloyd Squires (The Kings Klown) and the adults gathered in the beautiful Family Life Center. Over 1050 were in attendance!
The choir and musicians did an incredible job of leading in worship. Their mighty worship ushered in the presence of the Lord. As the Lord ministered to the guests, several were baptized in the mobile baptistery and many received the Holy Ghost. Many children were also baptized and received the Holy Ghost. What an incredible day for this great church!
Because of the phenomenal growth, POWH’s sanctuary has been packed for several months. Following Easter, they will be having two morning services, in addition to their evening service. What a great time of harvest!
We love you guys!!!!
Special thanks to the POWH photography team for sharing your photos with us!
