2 Timothy 4:5 .."Do The Work Of An Evangelist.."

When the gas light comes on, it’s time to stop!

Tuesday afternoon, we were heading from Willis, Texas to Fort Worth, Texas to begin a revival with The Pentecostals of Fort Worth, pastored by Michael Watts.

Less than an hour from Fort Worth, the gas light on the truck came on and the bell sounded. We knew we had about 50 miles left…we forgot we were pulling the toy hauler and getting less miles per gallon. Suddenly the truck shuts down! We ran COMPLETELY out of gas! We were both on our cell phones and failed to hear all the warnings.

We coasted as far as possible, but were still taking up a large portion of the right-hand lane on a busy highway in rush hour traffic. Traffic was horrendous, and the drivers didn't appear to be overly "excited" about our new parking place! In fact, one semi drove within three feet of our trailer!   He locked up his brakes, and was able to change lanes at the last moment.

Two patrol cars arrived to block the lane. Julie and Beamer were sent down a big ravine by the side of the road (for safety purposes). The officers advised us to get away from the vehicle, as there had been two fatalities at that exact location within the previous month.

We called every towing company that was listed on our GPS.  Julie called her dear friend, Gina Jones.  Her husband, Brent Jones, pastors a great work in Colleyville, Texas.  She advised us that her brother-in-law, Gregg Hogan, worked close to where we were stranded!  We called Gregg and although he was already home, he said he would be en route asap.  After purchasing a gas can, filling it with diesel fuel, and driving across town to assist us in getting back on the road….. the tow truck showed up.

One of the sweetest things happened during this transaction that we would like to recognize and commend.  Gregg knew that he was taking a chance at missing us totally.  He knew that the tow truck was previously called, and that the police were determined to get our truck and trailer off the highway, one way or another. However, he assured us that he would still show up and make sure that we were okay.

Words can't express the impact this overt act of kindness made in our lives! We were so humbled to know that he would make such an effort to help us.  After pulling out of the parking lot, we looked back to see Gregg watching to make sure that we were safe, and back on track.

Thanks a million to Gregg for his willingness to go the "extra-mile!"

We learned two important lessons that day:

1) It's wonderful to have church family and friends.

2) When the gas light comes on, it's time to stop!

Thanks for sharing in the vision……….

Revival in Willis continues!

(41 baptized in 2 weeks, and an untold number of people received the Holy Ghost!!!!)

*8 MORE BAPTIZED AND SEVERAL ADULTS AND CHILDREN RECEIVED THE HOLY GHOST DURING SUNDAY MORNING SERVICE!!!!

We were back in service with the great people of Abundant Life Church.  After spending several days at the Texas District Campmeeting, we were excited to get back in-the-grove of things…

After a Father's Day presentation conducted by Pastor Stovall, the incredible musicians and singers took the service to another level!  Julie followed with an anointed song, and the stage was set for a great move of the Holy Ghost.

At the conclusion of the message, the altars were filled very quickly. The presence of the Lord was so beautiful, and the response of the people was tremendous.  Several children and adults received the Holy Ghost, and at least 8 people were baptized!!!  An incredible revival is taking place in Willis, Texas!

What a week in Willis!

33 baptized, many received the Holy Ghost, mobile baptistery debut, and more!

We just completed a power-packed week in one of our favorites places….Willis, Texas.

Under the leadership of Pastor Dave Stovall, this church body is definitely on-the-move.  They have some of the most incredible individuals that we have ever met.  We have some very dear friends in this church, and they have always made us feel so special.  Words can not express the connection we feel with a multitude of the church members.

Over the course of this past week, we strategically canvassed a great portion of the city of Willis.  We mapped out the locations that we wanted to cover, and several groups headed out into the streets.  From door knocking to pulling people out of the ditch….we saw it all, and accomplished so much, in the week that we were privileged to be there!

Placing a huge emphasis on soul winning techniques, concepts, and principles, we encouraged the church body to take the message to the community! Throughout the week, we heard testimony after testimony of miraculous connections being made via door knocking!

Each service was powerful, and the Lord was so gracious to meet with us!  On Wednesday night, we taught on Lifestyle Evangelism, and the presence of the Lord was overwhelming. Every individual in the sanctuary was lying on their face, including our dear elders, as the Lord spoke to us about the "Great Commission!"

Each day, we spent hours in the community, ministering to the people of this great city.  We did our best to make a lasting impact in the lives of others, outside of covenant relationship with Jesus Christ!  The outreach team was full of excitement and faith!  They worked tirelessly throughout the week! They lifted our spirits to another level!  These are some of God's finest!

On Saturday, we had a Christian rap service in the park, and it was absolutely unbelievable!  The church cooked hot dogs and served drinks, while the community showed up to check out the events!  Andrew, a.k.a "WERD" was on the scene, and I must say that his lyrics were some of the most anointed lyrics I have ever heard! He attends Abundant Life Church, and is also a fantastic soul winner!

The Mobile Baptistery was on scene, as well.  And, after the altar service, a young girl was baptized in front of a huge crowd.

Some of my close friends drove from hours away, to take part in this eventful day!  Matt Tatum, Shon Husband, Cliff Blevins, Calvin Perro, and Randy Francis, Jr., added so much to both services on Saturday!  These men assisted in outreach, as well as ministered in the altar service!

The LIFELINE service was Saturday evening.  Although many of the church people were exhausted from a lengthy day in the park, they still showed up for this time of teaching, and deliverance!  We taught on the differences between recovery/relapse and deliverance. At the conclusion of the video, an altar appeal was made, and three people were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ!

On Sunday, the service was virtually overwhelming with the power of God!  The praise and worship service was so dynamic, and it was taken to an entirely new dimension when the "cardboard testimonies" were enacted.  Approximately 40 individuals walked, one at a time, to the center of the platform, and lifted their piece of cardboard.  On one side of the cardboard detailed what they were in the past… then, they turned it over to what they had become in Christ! We were so disappointed when we realized that our camera didn't record this powerful time. To see the YouTube version, click here

Over 130 first time guests were present for this service, and what a tremendous time it was!  At the conclusion of the service, we saw many receive the Holy Ghost, and 10 more baptized in the name of Jesus Christ!

On Monday, the church leaders met for a time of follow up preparation.  Every visitor received a personal telephone call, and a letter from the Pastor. The reports of these calls were phenomenal.  Almost each person said they would be back in service this week, and would be bringing visitors. The retention team is in place, and the things will never be the same!

Please pray for Pastor Stovall and the great people of Abundant Life Church, as they embark upon discipling each guest, in a personal manner!

DEBUT OF THE MOBILE BAPTISTERY…A GREAT SUCCESS!

We are enjoying our time in Willis, Texas.  The people are great, and Bro. & Sis. Stovall are two of Pentecost's finest.  They also have the coolest son, Logo!

We spent Saturday evening speaking about outreach ideas, soul winning concepts, and witnessing strategies. We divided into several teams and spread out all over the city.

After the morning service, one of our dear friends, Donald Wilsie, delivered our Toy Hauler trailer, and the mobile baptistery… Wow, were we ever excited!  We spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning and preparing this unit for its first baptism.

Before the street service, Pastor Stovall led us in a prayer to dedicate the trailer and baptistery to the work of the Lord. The presence of God was so powerful!

On Sunday evening, we gathered together behind the Zipps Grocery store, for an outdoor service.  The setup team was incredibly organized.  The sound system was of professional quality… and the worship service was truly inspiring and moving!  What a group of "on-fire" Christians.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE MOBILE BAPTISTERY!!!

To our friends & family…please consider making a donation to the mobile baptistery evangelism tool!  We still need approximately $5,000 to complete this project. This includes the exterior decals, as well as the necessary interior updates.

This trailer has been dedicated to the work of the Lord, and is not our home!  A few have asked why they should donate money to Ken and Julie's home….this is a legitimate question. Please understand that this is not "our" home!  We spend each night of the year in hotels and church guest quarters, and we will not be living in this 18 ft. baptistery trailer.

This is a ministry tool that has the potential to revolutionize personal evangelism.  It also has the potential to reach thousands of people in a short period of time!

Each person making a donation/contribution will receive a monthly email with the names of individuals who were baptized in this beautiful baptistery.  You will have first hand knowledge of how you personally made an impact in the Kingdom of God!  Furthermore, you will have the confidence that you invested in something that will make a difference in the lives of thousands of people.

Help us bring much-needed attention to the message that many of us hold dear to our hearts!  Help us take outreach and street evangelism to a "new" level!

Checks & money orders can be made to: Ken Cook, 21486 Forest Colony Drive, Porter, Texas, 77365.  Credit card transactions can be made via our website.

We love and appreciate each of you… and look forward to seeing you in the near future!
