2 Timothy 4:5 .."Do The Work Of An Evangelist.."

Dallas First Church

Holy Ghost outpouring in Dallas, Texas…… (many are filled, baptized, and healed!)

Shortly after our arrival into Dallas (Friday), we spoke at a soul winning seminar.  Afterwards, several of us went out into the nearby neighborhoods to share our faith with some of the locals.  We had a fantastic time!

On Saturday, during outreach, my wife and I noticed a lady walking through a grocery store parking lot.  After speaking to her about Jesus Christ, this lady was eager to jump in the vehicle and talk more about the Lord.   We headed back to the church, where we shared with her the plan of salvation (in detail).

Regina was eager to find a place of prayer, and prepare her heart for being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ!  Immediately after being baptized, she received a tremendous touch of God!

On Sunday, we had a wonderful time in the presence of the Lord! During the Sunday morning service, at least 11 people were filled with the Holy Ghost, and 7 were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ!

Afterwards, several of us headed for the streets to continue to talk with people about the Lord.  Within 15 minutes, I noticed a man standing in the median, begging for money.  I walked through the traffic, and introduced myself to him.  After a few moments of conversation, I got to my point.  I asked, "How much money can you make in 15 minutes?"  He said, "Depending upon the generosity of the people, I can make up to $15."  I then offered to pay him $15, if he would be willing to get into our car, and talk to us about the Lord for 15 minutes.

As awkward as this might seem, this man quickly gathered his belongings and got in our vehicle. After "personalizing" our connection with this man, I began to share with him the plan of salvation.  This man (Junior) asked if we could go pick up his girlfriend, Beverly.  He said she would be interested in hearing this message, as well. Within minutes, both of them were ready to head back to the church for a time of repentance, and then to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. (Beverly said that she had been praying for spiritual direction, and said she recognized that this was her answer)!

They spent an extended period of time in repentance, and were thrilled that we took time to witness to them.  Their stories were incredible, and they were very kind people, who love the Lord.

Throughout the following week, we were able to pass out several thousands of fliers, and witness to hundreds about our faith in Jesus Christ.  Many were baptized, and many were filled with the Holy Ghost!

Our time in Dallas concluded on Easter Sunday with an incredible service.  According to the guest sign-in, we were able to verify 390 visitors.  These were guests who came through the visitor center of the church, and signed in.   However, many continued to arrive after the preaching began.  There is no telling how many more were in attendance that day.  To God be the glory!

Pastor Tom Foster preached a timely message, and there was a tremendous response in the altar!!!

Throughout the 2 1/2 weeks that we were with this great church body, we were amazed at the level of outstanding care that we were awarded.

First, allow me to brag on two incredible ladies strategically connected with the success of this fine church:  Kim Smith and Connie Prieto.

These women know how to "go the extra mile" in friendliness.  We were amazed at their level of professionalism, as well as, the genuine "care" that they share for people.

If you are looking for a staff to emulate…. look no further!  These women could run any major corporation!  In fact, Julie and I will refer to them from this point forward, as the "Dynamic Duo."

"Thanks for taking such great care of us, and allowing us to feel at ease, and at home."

Next, we would like to recognize the men, women, and young people who took part in the outreach endeavors.  (We dare not to name them, although we could!)

Each member of the outreach team performed exceptionally well.  They were able to personalize many contacts, and make many long lasting impressions.

Julie and I are looking forward to returning to this church in the near future.

Last but not least, we would like to let our friends and family members know how incredible Brother Foster really is.  He is an extremely humble man of God.  His spirit and and kindness go hand in hand.  What a true example of Christianity!

It was so refreshing to be around Brother and Sister Foster.  These are real visionaries.  They are "key" figures in the kingdom of God!  Please hold them up in prayer.

Finally, it was great to visit with Brother and Sister Godwin.  Brother Godwin is also one of my "Fave's!"  He is obviously an incredible preacher of the Gospel.  However, more importantly, I believe he has been strategically placed in his current position by divine appointment.  (Our prayers must continue to be with this man and his travels).

To our friends at Dallas First Church, please continue to flow in the vein of revival!  Our thoughts and prayers are with you, and we look forward to our time together in the near future.

Two reasons to celebrate…

Everyone knows that Easter is a great time to celebrate the resurrection. Today is extra special to me because this year it falls on March 23, so….Happy Birthday!!!!

I knew my prayers had been answered when I met Ken Cook. Not only is he an incredible husband (who treats me like royalty), but he has an amazing passion for the Lord and sharing the gospel with others. (Did I mention he's a little fond of animals too?!)

He never ceases to amaze me with the extra time and effort he will spend to make someone else feel special and important. He makes every day an adventure. I love you so much, baby! Happy Birthday

Worth a thousand words…

We FINALLY uploaded the last month in pictures!! Happy Viewing!

Tyler, Knoxville and Fort Worth

Wow..it's been over a month since we posted!  Several wonderful things have taken place.  To our friends and family members who are kind enough to check our site…daily…we apologize!

Enroute to Tennessee, we were in a Sunday night service with Brother and Sister Littlefield, and the great people of Tyler Tabernacle.  What an incredible time in the presence of the Lord!

The next day we headed for Knoxville, Tennessee.  During the morning service, Pastor Tharp mentioned the toy hailer trailer that we are purchasing for the mobile baptistery, and within five minutes, these incredible people raised $3,400!!!!! To God be the glory! We are within $3,000 of paying for the trailer in full! (For details on this ministry, click here).

While in Knoxville, we had the privilege of staying in an incredible house, located in the mountains surrounding Kodak, Tennessee.  From the front porch, we enjoyed the city lights at night and miles of beautiful mountains during the day.  The pictures do not give this place justice!

(Side Note: We will be loading many new pictures soon. Thanks for your patience!)

The next week, we returned to Texas for an outreach revival with First Church of Fort Worth.  We had a tremendous outreach endeavor from Wednesday through Saturday.  First Church placed a great deal of focus on the homes and apartments located within a two-mile radius of the church.

What a great time of connecting with the community.  We saw many first time visitors on Sunday.  By Sunday afternoon, 14 were baptized, and many received the baptism of the Holy Ghost!

On the following Wednesday, Pastor Burkett called us to report the great news.  They had over 150 in service on a Wednesday night!  Numerous bible studies are beginning, and this church is experiencing a great revival, as a result of their hunger for the things of God!

This church is dedicated to the retention and assimilation of each guest.  They are well organized, and intensely motivated.  Pastor Burkett is a fast-paced, high-energy pastor, who wants nothing less than to see his city turned upside down!
